Terms

Last updated: 2 July 2026

These are the terms for using BondShield, operated by [Operator entity name — pending]. They're written to be read. Nothing in them limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

What BondShield is (and isn't)

BondShield provides information and document preparation for NSW renters — checklists, guides, prepared letter packs, and a private place to keep a timestamped record of your rental's condition. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, and no outcome is promised: what happens with your bond depends on your evidence, your tenancy and, if it gets there, the tribunal. For advice on a dispute, contact the Tenants' Union of NSW.

Packs, delivery and refunds

  • Delivery within 24 hours. Each pack is prepared individually and delivered by email within 24 hours of purchase. If we don't deliver within 24 hours, we refund you in full — you don't have to ask twice.
  • 7-day refund, no questions. Within 7 days of purchase, email us at [contact email — pending domain] and we'll refund your pack. No forms, no reasons required.
  • Prices are in Australian dollars, all-inclusive, one-off — no subscription and nothing extra to unlock. Payment is processed by Stripe.

The evidence vault

  • Your photos and notes are yours. We store them privately (see Privacy), and you can export or delete them at any time.
  • Fair-use limits apply (photo size, photos per tenancy, and total storage) so the service stays available to everyone. The limits are generous for documenting a rental; if you hit one, something odd is going on — email us.
  • Use the vault for documenting rentals you're a party to. We can suspend accounts used for unlawful content, other people's properties without their knowledge, or attempts to disrupt the service.

The record we create

For each photo, our server records the time it received the file and a SHA-256 digest of the stored bytes. That record describes what our systems received and when. We don't verify what photos depict, and we make no claim about how any tribunal, court, landlord or agent will treat the material.

The service during validation

BondShield is new and improving quickly. We work to keep it available and your data safe, and our liability to you is capped at the amount you've paid us — except where the Australian Consumer Law or another law says otherwise, in which case that law wins.
